You receive your Etos gift card by e-mail with a card number and a PIN. You can spend it in all Etos stores and in the Etos web shop, in one go or in parts. Online, enter the card number and PIN at checkout in the gift card option; in the store, show the e-mail at the till.
Did you get the gift card directly from a partner, such as Kaartje2go? Then you do not need to unlock or exchange anything: the card number and PIN are your gift card.
